Upon A Horizon Distant
I Espied
An Iridescent Glow
A Sunrise Blossoming
Tho Sun Long Set
Gazing Upon It
From Within
Walls
Foreboding Dark
I Watched
Pensively
Silently Musing
Of What Sort
Is This Wondrous Thing
That Approaches
Most Brilliant
Growing
Ever Closer
Soon
Sweet Melodies
Gently Waft Upward
To Softly Caress My Ear
Soothing The Being Within
And Soon I Beheld
A Jewel
More Exquisite
Than Any I Have Ever Known
Slowly I Withdrew
Deep Within My Fortress Strong
Where Cold Solace
Awaited me
Cowering
Allowing Fears Past
To Govern Me
Within This Citadel
I Felt Secure
From Pains Past
That So Haunt Me
So I Thought
But
This Being
Shining
Brightly, Warmly
Slowly
Ever So Slowly
Approached
Nearer & Nearer
Soon
To My Awe & Amazement
This Darkness
Of Which I Had Wrapped Myself In
Slowly Evaporated
Turning
Black To Grey
Grey To White
Such As A Tide Recedes
From The Beach Hidden Beneath
Exposing
Grains Of Sand
Each Grain
Sparkling
Unto Itself
As The Sun's Rays
Shone Upon Them
Thus Did I
In Wonderment
Gaze Upon Myself
And Saw The Splendor
Of My Being
Once Again
After Years Many
Though Imperfect
This Warm, Pure Glow
Softened Those Flaws
And Warmth
Once Again
Crept Into My Being
Coldness Fleeing
Sensations
Faintly Known
Soon Surfaced
Having Lain Dormant
Time Beyond Recall
Gently, Softly
Began To Emanesce
From Deep Within
What Was Once
A Sterile
Barren
Heart
Void Of Feeling
Tho
In A Time Past
Having Once Soared
On High
Amongst Eagles
Aspiring
For That
Which
Was Not
To Be
Like Poor Icarus
Caught Up In Euphoria
Soaring Ever Higher & Higher
Alas
Too High
Upon Wings
Gossamer Frail
Soon To Fail
Plummeting
Ever Downward
To This Fate
Of Which I Have Known
So Long
Too Long
But
This Creature
Of Pure
Wonderful
Light
Facets
Each & Every
Glistening
Sparkling
Hues
Radiating
Most Pleasing
Filling One's Eyes
With Warm Rich Colors
Soon My Eyes Began To Glow
Life Returning
Then
Faintly
Ever So
A Gentle Murmur Stirred
Deep Within My Breast
To My Amazement
T'was My Heart
Of Its Own Accord
Come To Life
Beat Upon Beat
Each One
Stronger
Surer
Life
Once Again
Coursed Through My Being
As Never Before
Surging Powerfully
Filling Me
Elation
Joy
Once Again
Known
Soon
Amongst
The Eagles
I Would Soar
